US Customers
Yes, in order to determine eligibility, myAbundant performs a soft credit check for US customers, but it’s important to note that this does not impact the customer's credit report or their credit score.
Our underwriting team does not require a hard credit check to determine eligibility for any of our payment plans.
This allows your customers to explore their payment plan options without any fear of their credit being affected.
Benefits of a Soft Credit Pull
- No Impact on Credit Score: The credit check performed by myAbundant is a soft pull, meaning it will not affect the customer’s credit score. Soft credit pulls are used to verify creditworthiness without impacting the overall credit report.
- Quick and Easy: The soft credit pull is part of our streamlined application process, ensuring quick and often instant decisions as well as the highest approval rates in the industry.
- Confidential and Secure: All credit checks are conducted with the utmost confidentiality and security, ensuring that customer information remains protected.
Reporting to Credit Bureaus
- No Immediate Reporting: During the course of the payment plan, myAbundant does not report payment history to credit bureaus.
- Payment Defaults: We reserve the right to report to credit bureaus if a customer defaults on their payment plan.
International Customers
Customers without a US Social Security Number are still eligible for payment plans that utilize our 100% approval model.
Although they are ineligible for Funding (upfront payment) plans, they are always eligible for Servicing plans.
